What to see at BTME 2022 – Mowers

A selection of mowers on show at BTME 2022

INFINICUT® : Red Zone | Stand 272

BTME 2022
Pedal Power vs Battery Power challenge with   Infinicut

Cyclists, be sure to make a pit stop on the INFINICUT® stand for a true test of pedal power – and help raise money for BIGGA’s Benevolent Fund.
The Greenkeepers Benevolent Fund is the official charity of BIGGA, assisting current or past members and their dependants with financial support and practical help during difficult times. A voluntary donation will permit entry to the ‘Pedal Power vs Battery Power’ challenge – to see if competitors can generate enough power (500 watts) to enable the operation of both the traction and cutting unit of an INFINICUT® mower. The bike set-up is designed to illustrate why it is critical for an electric mower to be running as efficiently and accurately as possible, keeping resistance to a minimum to avoid wasting energy. A leaderboard will be kept of all the attempts across the three days, with a prize awarded to the person who generates the highest reading.
Other highlights on the stand include the TMSystem™ collection of cassettes for grooming, mowing and maintenance and some new innovative products from the INFINICUT® stable. Twelve cassettes make up the range, which coverts fairway and triple greens mowers into multi-use units for complete turf refinement. Using the universal chassis, and appropriate adaptor kit, the TMSystem™ replaces OEM cutting reels with application specific cassettes for grooming, mowing and maintenance.
The TMSystem™ is also an integral part of the INFINICUT® mower. Since last on show in Harrogate, a number of innovative new features have been added to design and operation of both the FX and FL ranges, designed specifically with the golf market in mind.
Dennis & SISIS E-series: Red Zone | Stand 244
Dennis and SISIS will be introducing their new range of environmentally friendly turf maintenance machinery at BTME. The E-Series range reveals a portfolio of machines that have great battery life and range that are a no compromise alternative to the petrol range the brands have been renowned for.
ES-26: Easy to use, superb balance, control, and easy pull back for accurate alignment of next run are just some of the features. Also with a 26” cutting width, this mower is available with a standard front roller for maintaining fine turf sports surfaces such as golf greens and tees.
ES–22 Ultra: Quiet in operation with low hand arm vibration.  Simple to control, variable speeds and clip rates, forward speeds controlled by the operator and easy pull back for accurate alignment of next run. Using a 7 or 11 bladed cutting cylinder and groomer reel, this 560mm (22”) battery mower provides a fine finish on golf greens and tees. The tungsten tipped groomer can be in or out dependent on conditions.
ES–MK5: A dedicated battery scarifier that has great battery life and range with ultra-low noise and vibration. It boasts a power output that allows the tough tasks of scarification to be completed without range anxiety.
SISIS Flexibrush:  This tractor mounted brush is equally effective dispersing top dressing and removing excess material on natural turf surfaces. It has a 5.35 metre working width, its brush sections ‘float’ to follow ground contours and the outer sections fold for transport and storage. Over the years, many greenkeepers have relied on the Flexibrush for a wide range of tasks including presenting and striping fairways when it is too wet to cut; standing grasses up before cutting to provide a better finish; dispersing worm casts and knocking dew off the surface.
Vanmac Red Zone | Stand 26
BTME 2022A year on from their appointment as full-line distributors, Vanmac will showcase their Progressive Mowers. The Progressive range of trailed and mounted rotary mowers have a well-earned reputation for precise cut quality and unbeatable contour-following capabilities making them a popular choice for golf courses. Visitors can look forward to seeing both the TDR-X and ProFlex 120 models, alongside other machinery from the Vanmac golf and grounds collection.
The three independently floating decks of the Progressive TDR-X closely follow the contours of the ground, promising a quality cut without scalping. Precision and efficiency go hand-in-hand, with a total cutting width of 3.2m and an easily adjustable cutting height range from 9.5mm to 84.5mm. Along with other machines in the range, the TDR-X takes advantage of Progressive’s Pro Lift-N-Turn™ technology, allowing the operator to temporarily raise the decks, with the PTO still engaged, to make turning easier and increase overall productivity.
Equally as impressive, the Pro-Flex 120 trailed rotary five-deck mower is the ideal solution for maintaining rough and semi roughs to an exceptional standard. The flexible mower decks adjust fore/aft and left/right +/- 10º and up or down by +/-22º, while wings can be adjusted up by 10º and hitch swivel 360º when working in more confined areas. This gives the operator the ability to reduce the cutting width from 3.0m down to 1.83m. The cutting height of between 25mm and 75mm is also quick and simple to adjust.
Alongside Progressive, the stand will feature equipment from other franchises in the Vanmac portfolio including the Trilo S3, which continues to set the industry standard for vacuum sweepers and collectors. Compact and manoeuvrable, the S3 offers powerful suction and 3m3 hopper, together with a range of shaft options – brush, flail and verticutter – converting the collector into a versatile unit for year-round operation.
