The Gardenmakers and Claudia de Yong take the People’s Choice

The Gardenmakers and Claudia de Yong have taken the People’s Choice Award at BBC Gardeners’ World Live last week with a landslide victory. Visitors to the show were asked to vote for their favourite garden on the APL Avenue, and The Gardenmakers received a top-of-the-range Makita 18v cordless twin-pack power tool set.

The Gardenmakers offer an award winning full garden design and landscaping service that enables customers to create their dream garden. Their hard working and highly skilled staff have many years of garden landscaping experience between them and a full range of skills in all landscape gardening disciplines including paving, decking, timber structures, water features, fencing and walls.

Claudia de Yong is known for creating ‘romantic’ gardens and landscapes, and uses the finest materials and carefully chosen plants. Her planting ranges from a traditional, formal approach to a natural style, whichever most suits the client’s garden, design, setting and environment. Water-in-the-garden is her key speciality, with water features including garden ponds, lakes, streams and natural wildlife ponds.

All five of the gardens built on APL Avenue at BBC Gardeners’ World Live have proven a huge success, with great feedback so far and the awards to match. MJM Landscapes took the Best Construction Award at the show, with a gold award to back it up.

The other four gardens on the avenue all took awards as well, showing the high quality that APL Accreditation is proof of.

“Makita is pleased to support the APL Avenue People’s Choice award in recognition of the best landscaping standards,” says Kevin Brannigan, Makita UK, marketing manager. The APL would like to thank Makita for their on-going support and contributions. Find out more about Makita at http://www.makitauk.com/
