GreenMech announced its new Arborist range at SALTEX.
The British manufacturer of wood chippers and green waste shredders launched a new series of chippers that have been designed in response to recent industry demands.
The professional Arborist range has been specifically manufactured for disposal of waste brash, as over the last few years, an increase in the market for firewood has meant that contractors are generally keeping any useable wood for log production.
This new generation of chippers consists of a family of two road-tows and one tracked chipper unit that is aimed at the landscaping and grounds maintenance professional. Purposely manufactured for the task, each model includes technical innovations exclusive to the brand such as the patented Disc-Blade cutting system.
The simple to use and cost-effective models all come in a traditional in-line format with a letter box style in-feed throat of 150mm x 230mm that allows heavily forked branches to feed in easily. The vertical hydraulic rollers then efficiently crush the material with minimal lateral movement.
The individual units are:
Arborist 130 with a 23hp Briggs & Stratton petrol engine or 20hp Kubota diesel engine. This road-tow unit weighs less than 750kg so no licence restrictions for drivers.
Arborist 150 with a choice of either a 26hp or 34hp Kubota diesel engine. This unit also weighs less than 750kg so no licence restrictions for drivers.
ArbTrak 150 with a 34hp Kubota diesel and designed to complement the existing SafeTrak 16-23 and QuadTrak 160 tracked options.
