After cutting his teeth as a matchday volunteer at The CalForth Construction Arena, Dundee United FC’s home, groundsman Jamie Harle is busy completing his qualifications while also in sole control of the stadium surface since last July.
“There’s been much to learn but I’m hugely thankful to the club for investing in me and supporting me with the equipment we need to take our pitch to the next level,” he comments.
“Our previous cylinder mower needed renewing, so I researched mowers and spoke to other grounds managers for their recommendations. The Infinicut came up time and again so I organised a demonstration via Mike Lindsay at Fairways GM.”
The FL34 in the shed since April 2025 is already earning its stripes, Jamie reports. It was used daily during the season, and cut quality, striping ability and the user-friendly operation he’s achieving via the InfiniApp are living up to all the good words he’d heard about the walk-behind.

The FL34 features elite cut performance powered by a longlasting lithium battery module to deliver sustainable surface quality. Incorporating Bluetooth wireless connectivity, all main mower parameters are simple to set and adjust via the InfiniApp, Jamie adds.
“It’s simply a world class machine. The cut is unbelievably clean and its floating head leaves behind a finish, colour and stripe that’s second to none. The InfiniApp is also a nice bonus, making it super simple to adjust the walking or reel speed, enabling me to tailor the cut to the ground conditions or different points of the week as we run up to a fixture.”
Mike’s support and service and that of Infinicut’s lan Jack has helped too. Their advice has been invaluable, answering all my questions while I hone my craft and build my own network of contacts,” Jamie states.
