Wacker Neuson Linz has announced the introduction of a new low-cost, fully equipped cab option for its 3, 6, 9 and 10 tonne wheeled dumper models.
The generously dimensioned cabs have been developed’ in response to strong demand from end users ‘ requiring the same level of comfort for dumper drivers usually afforded to the operators of compact excavators. This requirement is aimed at minimising the downtime of the two machines during inclement weather.
The fully-fitted ROPS/FOPS Level 2 cabs are not hastily created, bolt-on structures but have been carefully created by Wacker Neuson’s own design team to integrate accurately and attractively onto each dumper chassis. The cabs provide a comfortable working environment and feature excellent all-round visibility thanks to large areas of glazing.
Commenting on the new cabs, Wacker Neuson’s product manager Steffen Wiesener said: “We have adapted the design principle from our compact excavator range which has enabled us to incorporate two large doors for maximum safety.” These doors can both be locked open at an angle of 180 degrees during fine weather to provide maximum ventilation.
Service access has not been compromised as lockable maintenance hatches have been provided on both sides of the cab to allow daily service checks to be made with ease. In addition, only four screws have to be removed to gain full access to the main service area beneath the driver’s seat.
