John Deere’s longest serving UK dealer specialising in groundcare, Greenlay (Grass Machinery) Northumberland, celebrates its 40th anniversary this year.
Greenlay services the commercial and golf markets as well as home-owners, with a comprehensive range of John Deere products. These sales are supported with a dedicated overnight parts delivery service.
Before John Deere officially entered the UK Turf Care business in 1986, David Lowes, Greenlay’s founder, was importing their products into the country.
“Today we are the largest specialist groundcare company in the North East of England,” says Eric Pattinson, David’s son-in-law and general manager of the business. “We only operate in the groundcare and horticultural sectors. We are not involved in either agriculture or industry.”
