Wimborne’s Trehane Nursery has launched its first ever Spring Festival. The idea of Trehane’s owner, Jeremy Trehane, the event has been designed as a celebration of the new season, and the end of the winter gloom.
“There is nothing in the garden that can make the same impact as a mass of spring-flowering camellias,” says Jeremy. “As we also have a selection of camellias which feature ‘spring’ in their name, including two not available elsewhere in the UK, it seemed a perfect opportunity to break away from all the gloom and worry of the recent months and celebrate nature at her best. Over the weekend we have been delighted to see hundreds of visitors, both old friends and new, proof, as if any were needed that spring really is just around the corner.”
In addition to its camellias the nursery is also now stocking a new range of scented spring-flowering shrubs alongside its azaleas, blueberries and other ericaceous plants.
The Festival continues until 27th March and during that period the nursery is offering a special 15% discount on a range of over 100 selected plants.
