Business as Usual …Horticultural Trades Association

The Horticultural Trades Association (HTA) is disappointed to hear that Clarion Events have decided to cancel Garden Expo but would like to reassure exhibitors and visitors that the HTA National Plant Show remains unaffected by this.
The HTA National Plant Show, a two day plant focussed show, which takes place on 29-30 June at Stoneleigh Park, has over 100 stands booked into Hall 1 and is seeking additional space for a number of other nurseries which have expressed interest in exhibiting. The National Plant Show provides garden retailers with a golden opportunity to view the best of UK plant suppliers under one roof at a time of year when plants are looking their best.
HTA Director of Business Development, Tim Briercliffe said, “The HTA National Plant Show was conceived as a stand alone plant show in its own right with strong support from growers and retailers. It has its own distinct marketing plan with promotional activities well under way, supported by a strong industry steering group. The show organisation is well resourced by a strengthened HTA Events Team. We would like to reassure exhibitors and visitors that Clarion’s decision does not impact on the HTA National Plant Show and we continue to look forward to a highly successful show in June”.
HTA President Caroline Owen from Scotsdales Garden Centre said, “Garden retailers are very excited about this year’s HTA National Plant Show and I am sure plant buyers from all across the country have this firmly inked in their diaries. The news that the planned Garden Expo will not now take place alongside this is obviously disappointing, but the National Plant Show has always been planned as a stand alone event and the HTA has a strong independent marketing plan in place to ensure its success”.
