ECHO (DAC24) will be showcasing two new ‘high-torque’ brushcutters at this year’s show.
The SRM-265TES and SRM-300TES brushcutters from ECHO feature a revolutionary new gear head design. This system offers a gear reduction ratio of 1:2.07 -providing outstanding levels of torque even from a modest sized engine. ECHO state that the new system can provide as much as 50% more torque over previous models.
Increased torque means more cutting power and, by installing a thicker line or blade, an operator can tackle a wide range of tasks – all with the same brushcutter. TES models offer unprecedented versatility for the professional operator.
Both models feature comparatively small engines, so the units are lightweight, highly manoeuvrable and have very low levels of vibration. An independent vibration test shows that the SRM-265TES fitted with a ‘U’ handle has a vibration level of just 3.9m/s2 in use. It is easy to see why these models are already a favourite of commercial landscapers.
