Talasey supports Saints foundation

Talasey Group, suppliers of landscaping solutions, has become a patron of the Saints Foundation – the charity of Premier League team Southampton Football Club.

Saints fan and Talasey Group Southern Sales Director Shane McCormick will take the lead on the patronage and says that he is proud that the company is becoming part of the foundation.

“Being a fan of the club, I’m well aware of the great work that the foundation does in the community, and there are real benefits for Talasey Group being a part of it,” says Shane.

Talasey Group has become part of the foundation, which is the football club’s way of giving back by using the power and passion of the club to transform lives in and around Southampton. It helps to fulfil their potential to be more-involved, healthier and more-empowered members of the community.

As an ethical and responsible importer of materials for its six core product brands (Natural Paving, Pavetuf, Vitripiazza, Baksteen, Luxigraze and Resiscape), Talasey Group will use its bronze patronage as a springboard to get involved in a range of events, such as charity fundraising activities for the foundation, as well as networking with other local businesses and raising its profile in the region.

Shane continues: “The foundation has initiatives such as Generation Gains – a programme that specifically works with isolated older people over the age of 65, many of whom do not have family members or friends to rely on. This kind of scheme isn’t something you would associate with a football club, but it’s making a big difference. We’re delighted to be part of a foundation that reaches out in this and many other ways to people.”

Speaking about Talasey Group becoming part of the Saints Foundation, its Fundraising and Partnerships Manager, Jazz Bhatti, said: “The charity is continuously helping to make a positive difference to people’s lives, and therefore we are extremely grateful for the support we receive from the business community in Southampton and the surrounding areas.

Shane will combine this with his other commitments fundraising for Cancer Research UK and Band of Builders, as he is currently under treatment for melanoma and has been dubbed a “Cancer Warrior”.
