Makita’s latest self-propelled mulching mower has a 51cm cutting width and five, easily adjusted cutting heights between 25mm and 70mm.
The new Makita PLM5121 mower is powered by the latest 190cc 4-stroke Briggs & Stratton 675 ready-start engine. The single speed drive to the large 280mm rear wheels is controlled by the flat lift up operator control adjacent to the handgrip and engine run control lever.
A large starter grip is within easy reach of the normal operation walk-behind position with the throttle control also conveniently placed on the handles which can be double folded for compact transport. In addition to the mulching action of the double sided rotary blade, the heavy duty steel deck also has an optional side discharge flap.
The mower has a specially shaped blade that holds the grass clippings in the deck of the mower so it can cut them into fine pieces. The clippings then settle on the lawn, quickly decomposing, adding to the growth and overall health of the lawn.
Weighing just 31.7kg the new Makita PLM5121 self-propelled mower is ideal for grounds contractors and home owners with large lawn areas up to 2,200sqm.
