Mow Town at RHS Flower Show Tatton Park is a hit

Mow Town at this years RHS Flower Show Tatton Park has been deemed a great success from one and all!

The area, which was dedicated totally to all things lawns, was hosted by the lawn care expert, David Hedges Gower and was the first of it’s kind to be present at any RHS show. David Hedges says:

We certainly had some amazing interest and together with the super companies involved, we provided talks and demonstrations which were well received by visitors. The presentations were informative and relevant in showing the environmental, sustainable and organic way we can all look after our lawns.”

The media, show visitors and the companies that made up the ‘Mow Town’ team, have all stated that the brand new show feature, which allowed visitors to discover the latest innovations in caring for lawns, was a breath of fresh air.

This specially-dedicated area of the show featured lawn care advice and demonstrations from experts and offered a glimpse at some of the best products on the market for growing the lawn of your dreams.

Companies that made up the ‘Mow Town’ gang included, Hayter Limited, Ashley Mowers, Tillers Turf, Terralift and Blade Machinery Ltd .

Richard Owens, Golf and Technical Manager, Tillers Turf says: “It was great for Tillers Turf to be involved with Mow Town, and we had lots of interest and enquiries about our products, and in particular our Wildflower turf . The Mow Town area was presented superbly, and the educational and interesting content prompted many questions from a very engaged audience”

Craig Hoare, Sales and Marketing Manager, Hayter Limited states: “Mow Town gave us an opportunity to interact with customers, and we were pleased with the positive response to the fact that our Hayter Harrier range is still designed and manufactured in the UK. Customers loved telling us about their Hayter mowers and the long service they had received from them, some of 20 years!  The Mow Town talks and demonstrations gave us an opportunity to introduce customers to the Toro brand and the unique and innovative features of the range.”

Rhys Norville, Territory Manager, Terralift shares: “The show was excellent and it was really good to engage with the general public and some high profile estate managers. The domestic homeowner is looking to use Organically built fertilisers for their lawn in order to be more environmentally friendly ”

David Salt, Managing Director, Blade Machinery Ltd says “I was pleased how many people came to our stand to discuss the lawn treatment process and Bannerman lawn care equipment.  We were glad to help those who wanted more knowledge on lawn care, how to create and maintain a lawn.”

Beverley Crossley, Marketing Manager of Ashley Mowers stated “We have been involved with the RHS flower show at Tatton Park for the past 15 years and whilst on various manufacturers’ stand we have always enjoyed the interaction with new and existing customers.  This year Mow Town added a new dimension for us and we were pleased to be a part of the presentations to the public and to be given the opportunity to showcase new and innovative machines to an even wider audience.  We hope that Mow Town becomes a regular feature in future years.”
