Enterprise Rent-A-Car is launching a national ecological initiative to commemorate 20 years of business in the UK. In partnership with local authorities, as well as with the University of Sheffield’s Landscape Architecture department, Enterprise will transform roundabouts across the country into natural wildflower gardens, promoting local bio-diversity.
The initiative will create sustainable and beautiful roundabout designs that will last long into the future.
Supporting its local communities is a vital part of Enterprise Rent-A-Car’s business operations across the country.
The University of Sheffield is an exceptional choice as partner as it has the UK’s leading department for landscape architecture. Nigel Dunnett, the University’s Professor of Planting Design and Vegetation Technology, will be leading the design phase of the project. He brings experience of designing show gardens at the Chelsea Flower Show and was behind the pictorial meadows at the Olympic Park in 2012.
Enterprise will also be partnering with Green Estate, a not-for-profit social enterprise that specialises in regenerating urban landscapes, who will work with local authorities to deliver the projects at each location.

The project will be funded by the UK business and the Enterprise Holdings Foundation, the philanthropic arm of Enterprise Holdings.
