(l-r) Sarah Gretton, of Brett Landscaping, and The Mayor of Charnwood, Councillor Jill Vincent.

Brett Landscaping has donated over 70 square metres of its Broadway riven flag paving to a new sensory garden in Loughborough. The pledge, which comes as part of the company’s Love Your Landscape initiative, will benefit wheelchair users and people with limited mobility at Charnwood Gardening Project, part of Voluntary Action Charnwood.
Volunteers cleared and levelled the ground, and the products from Brett Landscaping were used to create a large, accessible paved area, complemented by raised beds made with railway sleepers. Donations were also received to purchase a greenhouse.
Sarah Gretton, of Brett Landscaping told The Landscaper “This new sensory garden will give wheelchair users and people with limited mobility the chance to enjoy the outdoors. Being able to donate materials which we make locally, free of charge, to such a worthy community project is what the Love Your Landscape initiative is all about. We were pleased to be invited to the official opening and wish all at the project every success for the future.”
Charnwood Gardening Project, part of Voluntary Action Charnwood, has been running for 15 years and offers opportunities for adults with learning and physical disabilities. The group also works with local colleges and universities to provide work experience for students at all levels.
