Shrewsbury has been crowned the Champion of Champions of this year’s Britain in Bloom.
The town was given the Royal Horticultural Society title at an awards ceremony yesterday , marking the competition’s fiftieth year.
The town’s “community spirit” at the Bowbrook Allotments received particular praise from the society.
