There is still time to book a place at the key landscaping event of the year. The Association of Professional Landscapers (APL) Awards, sponsored by Bradstone, are a great opportunity to annually celebrate the best in British landscaping, reward employees’ hard work and dedication and network with fellow APL members. This year the awards lunch will take place on Wednesday 11th February 2009 at the Sketchley Grange Hotel in Leicestershire.
APL Vice chairman and chair of the judges Mark Gregory commented “We received a record number of entries this year and after completing the judging of the 2009 awards are extremely impressed with the continued quality that these awards are delivering, also of the size of contracts some of our members are now tackling and the quality that they are achieving. My team of judges included Chris Young of The Garden publication, and Richard Bernard of Hillier Landscapes, who both joined this year, and added their expertise to the existing panel of Roger Gladwell of RG Landscapes and Ian Wright of Bradstone. Choosing the best young achiever, a new category introduced this year, was by far the hardest decision, as the candidates were all so good.”
The Award categories for 2009 are: Front Garden, Landscape/Garden scheme (under £10,000, £10,000 – £20,000, £20,000 – £30,000, £30,000 – £50,000 and over £50,000), Soft Landscaping, Overall Design and Build, Commercial Garden, Garden Maintenance, Special Feature, Young Landscaper of the Year (new this year) and the supreme winner.
The Awards Lunch will be taking place on Wednesday 11th February at the Sketchley Grange Hotel in Hinckley, Leicestershire. Visit www.landscaper.org.uk to download a booking form or contact the HTA Events team on 0118 930 3132 events@the-hta.org.uk
