Hurrells Seeds – New Creeping Ryegrass Mixture

Hurrells Seeds have  introduced  a new  CSI Creeping Ryegrass mix. The benefits of this include: High Shoot density, quick repairing ability, close mowing, great colour and superb ground cover.
Other existing Creeping Ryegrass mixtures on the market only have between two and three creeping plants in every ten plants. However for CSI Corsica eight or nine in every ten plants creeps, with regenerative tiller plants. This creeping rye has density up to 100% better in excess of any turf perennial.
The grass seed mixture contains:
30% CSI CREEPING RYEGRASS
25% COLOSSEUM WINTER ACTIVE PERENNIAL RYEGRASS
25% EUROCORDUS HIGH RATED STRI DWARF PERENNIAL RYEGRASS
20% BECKHAM HIGH RATED STRI DWARF PERENNIAL RYEGRASS
The selection of different grasses makes the mix great in many ways. From the winter
active side to the creeping ryegrass element.
Garry Poole from Turf Amenity Supplies commented; “I am very impressed when I use Hurrells CSI, It has superb turf quality combined with the best ground cover I have ever seen . I wholeheartedly recommend it.”
The Colosseum in the mixture is a winter active fine leafed hard wearing dwarf perennial ryegrass that grows in soil temperatures down to five degrees Celsius (other grasses require at least 10-12 degrees Celsius). Meaning it’s not too early to sow grass seed!
The inclusion of Eurocordus and Beckham two Dwarf Perennial Ryegrasses gives this grass seed mix a premium fine leaved finish that’s still hardwearing
