The Hawkesmill Nurseries team are proud to announce that the new Geum ‘Scarlet Tempest’ has won gold at the National Plants Show in the New Plants ‘Herbaceous Perennials’ section. Hawkesmill were also the winners of the ‘Planting The Seed Visitor Vote’ for the best retail display.
The Warwickshire based family business, who offer retailers a wide selection of plants such as perennials, alpines, grasses and wildflowers, have chosen to offer this amazing plant this year to compliment their extensive herbaceous collections.
An easy to grow, stunning plant, ‘Scarlet Tempest’ produces beautifully ornamental large, bright red, semi-double blooms. A continuous flowering time from April to September will ensure gardens will be full of vibrant colour from spring right through to autumn.
