A range of one-day workshops and events across Britain this summer will help planners, developers and landscapers. Improve biodiversity and bring wildlife into urban and amenity spaces and new developments.
Flora locale, the charity that promotes the restoration of wild plants for biodiversity, landscapes and people, is running a training programme with topics that include:
• Flower-rich turf for roofs and landscapes
• Managing wild flowers in the city
• Constructed wetland systems
• Pond creation and conservation
• Propagating and planting tree seeds for woodland creation projects
• Good practice in managing ancient trees
• Woodland wild flowers for new woods
Sue Everett, Technical Adviser to Flora locale, says: “Each workshop offers plenty of opportunities to see projects on the ground, and because all the events are led by experienced practitioners, people get a good idea of what works and what doesn’t,”
