RHS Garden Wisley is organising a Perennial Seeding Workshop for any gardener (amateur or professional) who is keen to find out more about perennial seeding and prairie-style planting. ( Thursday 10 September)
This trend in gardening has already been successfully introduced across RHS Gardens, including RHS Garden Wisley with the meadow behind the Glasshouse, and soon gardeners with larger, domestic spaces will also be able to discover how they can recreate the colour and natural variety of prairie and meadow planting at home.
Leading experts speaking on the day include renowned flower planting expert James Hitchmough (famed for his research into seeding), Keith Wiley and Chris Jones, who will cover topics including:
The practicalities of perennial seeding and how to use seed mixes
How to create a prairie-style garden at home
Care and management techniques for perennial seed gardens
Tickets include entry into RHS Garden Wisley, a full day of talks and presentations with the experts, and lunch. The day starts at 10am and finishes at 4.30pm with tea.
Tickets for the Perennial Seeding workshop are priced £75 per person. Places are limited. To book call 0845 612 1253 or visit www.rhs.org.uk/wisley for more information.
