The Writtle College Floristry department has been invited to decorate the stars and guests with bespoke real flower jewellery at the forthcoming Comfort Prima High Street Fashion Awards. Jayne Hammond, Floristry Lecturer at the College, accompanied by fellow floristry academics and staff, will be attending the awards that are being held on Thursday 11th September at Battersea Evolution Marquee in London. The bespoke jewellery will range from rings to hair accessories and will be made with a selection of real flowers.
In keeping with the title sponsors of the event, Prima will be transforming the reception area into a Comfort zone offering attendees the chance to indulge themselves with hair, nail and make up touch up, cheese tasting, wine tasting and to have their own bespoke flower jewellery made by Writtle College.
The event is the largest high street award ceremony of its kind in the UK. Hosted by Prima’s Editor Maire Fahey and Jeff Banks and in aid of Breakthrough Breast Cancer it brings together the best of the British high street as all the major retailers gather to find out who has won one if the prestigious 21 awards. This year, attendance will increase to 1,000 guests. The audience will be made up with representatives from all the major UK high street retailers, fashion media, celebrities and over 400 Prima readers and high street shoppers.
