Two new colours have been added to decking manufacturer Trex’s UK product range.
The first addition is Carmel, a light oak colour with toasted brown and grey undertones finished with a natural wood grain pattern.
Part of the premium Trex Transcend Lineage range, Carmel has proven to be one of the favoured hues in the US, the company states.

Also new to the UK is Tide Pool, from the Trex Enhance range, a soft grey with an authentic timber-grain appearance that draws inspiration from Earth’s moving tides.
Merchants can order stock and samples in the new colours from Arbor Forest Products from 18 February.
Less heat absorption
Both products incorporate Trex’s innovative SunComfortable technology, engineered to reflect solar energy and reduce heat absorption to keep deck surfaces cooler*.
Lee Heitzman, UK and Ireland market manager for Trex, said: “With Carmel and Tide Pool, we’re giving installers and consumers access to some of the most in-demand colours from our global portfolio.
“They were selected for launch following strong demand from our network of UK-based certified TrexPro installers and both products showcase what Trex does best, combining elevated aesthetics with industry-leading performance.”

While SunComfortable is included as standard across the Trex Transcend Lineage range, Tide Pool is one of just two colours in the UK’s Trex Enhance collection featuring the innovation.
Lee continued: “SunComfortable technology is an exciting step forward for UK outdoor range . . . an option for all budgets.”

As with all decking boards in the Transcend Lineage range, Carmel is backed by a 50-year limited residential warranty, while Tide Pool from the Enhance range has a 25-year warranty.
*Trex SunComfortable decking stays cooler than original Trex boards but like all decking, it will get hot in direct sun, especially darker colours. Care should be taken to avoid extended contact between exposed skin and the deck surface, especially with young children and those with special needs.
