East Moseley Cricket Club is situated on the banks of the River Thames and is only 400m from Hampton Court Palace.
The club or ganised a superb event to raise funds featuring “Rick” Astley known for his 1987 song, “Never Gonna Give You Up”, which was a #1 hit single in 25 countries.
Competitive cricket has been played on the Molesey Hurst dating back to 1730.
No cricketer during a match has yet hit a cricket ball from the Hurst Road end onto the famous Taggs Island.Keith Miller of Australia was a yard short in 1953. The challenge still remains.
