Provender Nurseries in conjunction with Capel Manor College, Enfield campus, have announced two winners of the Provender Nurseries Redesign competition 2016.
Provender Nurseries sponsor a garden at Capel Manor College and have for the last four years selected a design that best represents the use of the space in the garden with a broad interesting range of plants that fulfil the brief.
The design brief was for a couple who wish to entertain and wanted a contemporary feel to the garden with an emphasis on the colour red. The brief was given to students of Garden Design Advanced Diploma as part of their coursework. The winning designs being awarded a cash prize of £250.00 by Provender Nurseries. Plants were to be selected from Provender Nurseries website.
Judging took place in March following a visit to Provender Nurseries with Sophie Guinness and Julie Dowbiggin of Capel Manor College and Liz Hughes of Provender Nurseries with presentations from each student of their design justifying plant choice and talking through their individuals designs in detail.
Two designs were selected by Soofia Bandy and Gillian Rea.
