Hanson Formpave has secured a deal to supply over 300m2 of its permeable paving system, Aquaflow for a parking area and car lane at Scotland’s first Costa Drive-Thru, part of the £100m Lomondgate development at Dumbarton.
Specified by lead architects, G D Lodge Architects and main contractors, Marshall Construction of Alloa, the patented 80mm Aquaflow paving blocks, in Red Brindle, will reduce surface water and puddles, providing a permeable surface for the both the car park and car lane.
Hanson Formpave’s national sales manager Nick Riddle told The Landscaper : “This is a very exciting project as Costa is such a well known UK brand. The Aquaflow product is perfect for a retail and service environment, able to withstand high-footfall and regular traffic, as well as infiltrate all the spillages!”
