John Deere Midlands and Wales dealer Tallis Amos Group (TAG) has supplied 13 of the maker’s professional groundcare machines to Minchinhampton Golf Club, one of the Cotswolds’ premier golf venues.
The order, which follows its 2020 Deere fleet purchase, is tailored to the needs of the greenkeeping team, TAG says, “equipping it for maintaining the club’s renowned premier playing surfaces”.
“The decision to repurchase with TAG was driven by the durability of the machines and their back-up support,” said courses manager John Stewart. “The new machinery was selected not only for its exceptional performance but also because the club has received outstanding aftersales support provided from TAG’s fully manufacturer-trained technicians.’
Committed to support
Under TAG’s commitment to supporting local clubs and professionals on expert groundcare, the fresh order includes four 6500A-E lightweight fairway mowers, three 2750E triplex greens mowers, three HPX815E Gators for heavy-duty and off-road work, a 2030A ProGator with HD200 sprayer and convertible 4.6/6.4 m (15/21 ft) boom and a Z994R zero turn mower.
“The new kit has already made a difference,” said John. “Our 17 greenkeepers rely on a robust, cutting-edge fleet and we are really impressed by TAG’s customer service and backup, and we have the added benefit of the John Deere Operations Center for ease of management and improved efficiency, saving time and costs.”
“John Deere’s precision technology is the future for turf equipment,” said Alex Jones, TAG group golf sales manager. “The club is moving towards smarter turf management – every cutting machine at Minchinhampton is installed with JDLink for telematics information.
“This gives real-time location data, and information on fuel consumption and machine usage so the club can easily monitor and compare fleet performance, plan and analyse operational data at any time through the connected support Operations Centre app on desktop or mobile, to make informed data-driven decisions for maximum uptime.”
