Dutch grower E. de Jong have introduced a new Acer for 2016. With fresh green colours in summer, Acer palmatum ‘Tsukasa Silhouette’ is part of the beautiful assortment available from this leading grower.
Acer palmatum ‘Tsukasa Silhouette’ changes its colours in autumn to a fresh/dark red and has a column (pyramidal) growth profile. It is a hardy tree up to -20° celsius. Its height after five years is 3mtr (after 10 years 5mtr) and width 0.7mtr. (after 10 years 1.4mtr). Its PH is 4.5 – 6.5 and thrives in well drained, humus rich soil. As part of their on-going development programme, this introduction for 2016 will be shown at IPM Essen in January.

Their collection of multi-stemmed trees and shrubs are available now for autumn planting. There are
substantial levels of interest in their pleached trees which was reflected at the autumn series of
trade events in both Holland and Poland.
