A well-established landscaping company is looking to recruit a Garden Maintenance Specialist to join its professional grounds maintenance team based in Dartford, Kent.

This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic and reliable individual who enjoys working outdoors and takes pride in maintaining gardens and landscaped areas to a high standard. The successful candidate will work across a variety of residential and commercial sites, using company-provided equipment and a company vehicle where required.

Main Duties

The successful applicant will be responsible for a range of garden and grounds maintenance tasks, including:

  • Lawn mowing and edging
  • Hedge trimming and pruning
  • Weeding and border maintenance
  • Planting and general horticultural work
  • Leaf clearance and seasonal tidy-ups
  • Maintaining high standards across customer sites
  • Operating landscaping tools and machinery safely
  • Ensuring company vehicles and equipment are kept clean and well maintained
  • Providing excellent customer service while working on-site
Candidate Requirements

Applicants should:

  • Have previous experience in garden or grounds maintenance
  • Be hardworking, reliable and punctual
  • Be physically fit and comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions
  • Have a positive attitude and strong work ethic
  • Be able to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Take pride in delivering high-quality workmanship
Essential Requirements
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Experience using horticultural machinery and power tools
  • Good communication skills
  • A professional and customer-focused approach
Desirable Qualifications

The following would be advantageous, but are not essential:

  • Horticultural or landscaping qualifications
  • PA1/PA6 pesticide application certificates
  • Experience working on commercial landscaping contracts
