British Association of Landscape Industries (BALI) member Blakedown Landscapes is named a Gold Champion of the member body’s Chalk Fund, which supports its work to strengthen skills development, widen access to training and build long-term resilience across landscaping.
Established in 1975, the BALI Chalk Fund supports training, education and professional development through targeted investment at critical stages, helping to remove barriers and ensure the industry continues to meet future skills needs.
As a Gold Champion, Blakedown’s support will contribute to this work by helping to build capability, confidence and sustainable career pathways, reflecting its belief that “high-quality landscapes are underpinned by skilled, supported people and long-term investment in the workforce.
“Investing in skills at the right stage is essential to the long-term health of our industry,” said Steve Buckingham, Blakedown Landscapes CEO.
“Champion’s support of the BALI Chalk Fund recognises the importance of collective responsibility in supporting people, building capability, and securing the future of the landscapes our profession creates and cares for.”
Diane McCulloch, champions support officer said, “It’s encouraging to have another leading landscape company joining our Gold Champion ranks, adding to the invaluable funding that BALI Chalk offers.”
