A Bournemouth landscaper is celebrating a great start to the landscaping season after triumphing in a national competition.
Mike Barrett, owner of ‘Comprehensive Landscapes,’ has won a new Nissan Cabstar Tipper truck worth £20,000 after entering a competition run by Nissan in Build Center branches across the country.
Mike was handed the keys to his new motor at the Bournemouth branch of national construction materials merchant Build Center as part of its special open day event.
For Mike, the news of his good fortune was totally unexpected: “I picked up one of the leaflets during a recent visit to Build Center, and later entered the competition online. I had forgotten all about it, so was completely shocked when I got the call to say I’d won – I’ve never won anything before.
“With the peak landscaping season fully underway, and the fact that more people are looking to improve their homes and gardens rather than move in the current climate, it is great to have this impressive new vehicle – particularly with the tipping facility which is essential for unloading materials.”
Build Center Bournemouth manager Trevor Gunning added: “We are delighted that the winner is a longstanding customer of our branch, and enjoyed presenting Mike with his prize.
“As part of the day, other customers were rewarded with giveaways and special offers.”
