A fashion-inspired garden using some of the latest products from Bradstone has won a Gold Medal at this year’s show.
The garden was created for online fashion retailer BrandAlley by Paul Hervey-Brookes who partnered with Bradstone to launch the Bradstone Design service earlier this year.
Bradstone has enjoyed a long history at the RHS Chelsea Flower Show and has created or been involved in a series of award-winning garden designs.
The BrandAlley garden has been designed to reflect the public and private sides of people’s lives. Granite monoliths and a series of life-size amorphous sculptures represent the public face, while a hidden sanctuary with natural, informal planting and a sunken seating area has been created for the private side.
Bradstone products within the garden include the new StoneMaster long aspect paving, used to create a path between the two contrasting areas. The path is bordered by bespoke Bradstone Chinese granite monoliths, made from a series of granite pieces which have been positioned vertically to create the impression they are floating out of the ground. The garden also features a unique curved wall built using Bradstone cast stone Ashlar blocks.
Mike Leeming, Sales Director at Bradstone, told The Landscaper, “The RHS Chelsea Flower Show is world-renowned for showcasing the very best in garden and landscaping design, so we’re delighted to have been able to contribute to Paul’s Gold medal-winning creation at this year’s show.
“The StoneMaster paving range is new for 2013 and Paul’s garden provides the perfect showcase for this exciting new product. It’s a great opportunity to highlight the quality and versatility of our product range – hopefully inspiring homeowners to invest in their garden and create their own unique outside space.”
