Since its launch in 2000 the Fiat Doblo Cargo has sold almost a million examples worldwide. The all-new model ‘builds on those strengths to boast even greater practicality, versatility, comfort, safety and fuel efficiency’.
The Doblo Cargo has a greater carrying capacity than before in both weight and size terms, and the new suspension ensures the ride is improved. And a new range of Euro 5-compliant engines makes it cleaner and therefore cheaper to run.
In line with its sister vehicles from Fiat Professional, the new Scudo and Ducato, the Doblo’s load compartment is much roomier than the model it replaces, with interior length boosted to 182cm or 217cm (Maxi LWB) and width between the wheel arches to 123cm. To ensure this extra space can be fully exploited it’s been made as square as possible. And access is through generously sized rear doors – either side-hinged or tailgate can be specified – along with sliding doors either side.
To cater for a wider range of commercial vehicle users than ever before, when the Doblo Cargo goes on sale on 6 March, there will be six different body styles. A short wheelbase with regular or high top bodies, a long wheelbase Maxi Cargo, the regular and Maxi five-seater Combi model, and the Maxi platform cab. Prices range from £11,195 to £16,945 (ex. VAT).
