Winchester landscapers!

The Wessex Children’s Hospice Trust is organising ‘Midsummer Night’s Dream’ in order to raise funds for Naomi House and it’s Jaksplace project. They are looking help from local firms to provide auction or raffle prizes.
Situated near Winchester Naomi House, offers a variety of flexible support to over 300 families with children who have life-limiting conditions throughout Central southern England. It costs around £2.5million each year, that’s £6,500 a day, to run and maintain Naomi House, with less than 10per cent of government funding they rely heavily on the generosity of the community.
Their home from home environment offers each child and their family 16 nights of respite care a year, providing a unique and vital lifeline for those difficult times of a child’s life. With a broad range of facilities including music, play room, multi-sensory and a hydrotherapy pool they are able to help the children relax and enjoy their time. The sibling support helps brothers and sisters of a life-limited child express their emotions through play, role play and friendship. At the end of a child’s life the bereavement team are sensitive to the wishes of the family offering support for as long as needed.
Medical advances mean that some of the youngsters they look after have outgrown Naomi House. With this in mind they are currently building and equipping jacksplace our teenage and young adult hospice which will be only the fourth of its kind in the country.
The Midsummer Night’s Dream evening is being held in order to raise funds for the continued progress of jacksplace. Guests will be treated to a fine four course dinner, themed Midsummer Night’s Dream entertainment, an auction, a raffle and a fireworks display.
