Tool orders

Hundreds of garden tools repaired and restored in the workshops at Wandsworth Prison for the Conservation Foundation’s Tools Shed programme, were handed over to nearly 60 enthusiastic young gardeners from more than 30 London schools at the first ever Tools Shed distribution day this month.

They had been donated by various garden industry sources including Wyevale Garden Centres, Royal Parks’ Enterprise and Veolia contractors, Rotary, four London local authorities and contractors at this year’s Hampton Court Palace Flower Show, in the Conservation Foundation’s initiative to equip the next generation of gardeners, reduce waste and provide practical skills for prisoners.
