Statues of freedom

As a child Ferrie Farahmandi lived in a coastal town in the south of Iran surrounded by barren land with a harsh desolate coastline. As a result "The pleasure of lush vegetation has remained important to me throughout my subsequent life. I make vessels which are a response to both my love of clay
and to the beauty of nature. My coiled sculptures are a reflection of the restrictions I encountered in my early years," Ferri told The Landscaper.
