ROYAL SPLASH AT BOTANIC GARDENS

Named after an 18th century Regius Keeper and botanist, the John Hope Gateway includes a ground floor exhibition space with floor to ceiling windows overlooking the pools. The first floor restaurant has a terrace that also benefits from views of the pools, which cascade down into each other.
The existing waterproofing membrane had failed and there were also issues with the pipework feeding the cascade system. As a result, specialist contractor, Water Gems (Alba) Ltd was contracted to strip out the existing membrane, repair the pipework and replace the failed lining with Firestone’s PondGard EPDM membrane, before re-filling the pools and carrying out landscaping works.
