The London Borough of Merton has chosen the road-towable CAMON C300 Commercial Shredder for disposing of green waste around sites in the borough. The Council purchased the unit through Ernest Doe & Sons at Esher in Surrey. Danny Lovelock, Mitcham Parks area manager, says of the C300 “We had a lot of green waste that we didn’t want to keep taking to landfill including brambles, leaves, branches etc and the CAMON C300 is perfect for disposing of this – we are shovelling the waste through the machine and then leaving it as recyclable mulch under hedges and on borders. Whilst the C300 is a powerful, heavy-duty machine it is still very manoeuvrable and manageable – it’s easy to move around site and is simple to tow to the next location. We’re so pleased we chose the CAMON C300 – for under £15,000 it really has proved to be a fantastic investment, it has already saved us a lot of time and money.”
