Last chance to book

This is the last week to book tickets to join the world’s best ornamentals growers at the AIPH International Grower of the Year Awards 2016.  Last day for booking is Monday 18 January.
The Awards Gala Dinner takes place on Thursday, 28 January 2016, at Messe Essen, hall Europa, during IPM Essen, Germany – held in partnership with Headline Sponsor, Royal FloraHolland and Founding Partner, FloraCulture International (FCI).
The Awards event commences at 6pm with a drinks reception followed by a four course dinner and ceremony. Chris Beytes, Editor of GrowerTalks and Green Profit magazine, is to be the master of ceremonies and after the awards there will be an evening of celebration with live entertainment by Dionne Wudu & Band and international networking.
Award winning singer, Dionne Wudu, performed across Europe in the Popgroup ‘Cinnamon and Sugar’ based in Essen. She has produced several songs, had numerous appearances and played in big productions including ‘Buddy Holly’ and ‘Sister Act’. Furthermore she worked as presenter, an Actress and taught Jazz vocals.
Ornamental growers from Canada, China, Germany, Netherlands, Turkey, UK and USA are finalists in the Awards:
Cut Flowers category: Arcadia Chrysanten, Netherlands and Flash Tarim Urunleri (Flash Flowers), Turkey.
Finished Plants and Trees category: Dutchmaster Nurseries, Canada, Dashun International Flower, China,  Majestic Trees, UK and Costa Farms, USA.
Young Plants category: Florensis, Germany/Netherlands, Kunming Hongzhihua Gardening, China, Shanghai Yuanyi Seedling, China.
Bronze, Silver and Gold will be awarded, where applicable, to each category. Each of the category winners will be judged for the final and most prestigious award – the coveted Gold Rose, awarding them the global status of AIPH International Grower of the Year.
AIPH Secretary General, Tim Briercliffe said: “We invite growers, traders, suppliers, retailers, business leaders and all those linked to the ornamental horticulture industry to join us at this momentous horticultural occasion.”
