For the fifth consecutive year ISS Facility Services Landscaping has been honoured amongst the ‘best of the best’ with the attainment of one gold and two silver leaf eFIG (European Federation of Interior Landscape Groups) awards. The ‘leaves’ were presented at eFIG’s 2012 Annual Awards ceremony by Chairman, Kenneth Freeman.
eFIG stands as the mark of distinction for the whole of the Interior Landscape Industry, and the awards serve as a platform to showcase industry excellence. Against strong opposition in the ‘design and installation category’, ISS’s scheme at PricewaterhouseCoopers, 7 More London won a Gold Leaf, with Carlsberg UK Headquarters and Morgan Stanley’s Sentinel Building in Glasgow both winning Silver.
ISS has been working in partnership with PricewaterhouseCoopers since 2006 servicing their offices on a national basis. 7 More London is one of London’s most eco-friendly buildings, producing 25% of its own energy. The design concept was to create a comfortable and relaxing atmosphere whilst encompassing the PricewaterhouseCoopers’ sustainability concept. The contemporary planting, which included Cycas, Sansevieria and Washingtonia, was sympathetically chosen to integrate seamlessly with the interior design of the building as well as enhance the spectacular views over the River Thames and Tower Bridge.
