Walk-behind, ride-on, stand-on remote control mowers blowers and vacuums. That’s the simple way of describing the comprehensive range of machines from STM.
The SCAG name is a familiar sight. They have been in manufacture for thirty years, and there is an on-going policy of improvement.
The Turf Tiger and Tiger Cat big capacity ride-on mowers are soon to be become Turf Tiger 2 and Tiger Cat 2, with enhancements of comfort and speed.
Machines are added to the range as well to make it as comprehensive as possible, to give the purchaser the opportunity to get exactly the machine they want at the price in their budget, ranging from £5000 in the smaller range ride-ons to over £12000 for the top machines.
There are specialised aspects as well – STM offer the Humus low-profile flail head to fit on the top of the range 25HP Turf Tiger, resulting in the only centre-mounted zero-turn flail mower on the market. Then, once the flail requirements are completed, a traditional rotary deck – up to 72” width – can be fitted.
As regards SW and SWZ [Zero-Turn] pedestrian mowers, you are looking at 32” up to 52” rotary cut decks, plus options of cylinder, flail, Humus Safety Cut . . . and even a snow plough. Engine sizes are from 14 up to 22HP.

Incline work? The twin-wheel SWZ 48 is the recommended low centre of gravity machine, capable of coping with reservoir-side inclines [see picture].
If you’re looking at trickier areas than that – then the RoboFlail range could be perfect for you. Five machines in the range – 20” cut Mini, petrol or diesel 48 [the latter with an underslung flail deck], or two specialised machines: the RoboFlail Vario that is designed for taking Cat 1 linkage attachments, and the RoboFlail Plus for hydraulic attachments . . . all designed for tricky terrain and awkward access areas.
And SCAG also added the Giant Vac machinery to their range. There is a small vacuum-and-bag unit for yard and estate work, then blowers from walk-behind [three models] to truck mounted and two sizes of trailed.
