Watermark Place, located in the heart of the City’s busy commercial centre is a prestigious building which scrapes the sky and boasts breathtaking views across the City of London and River Thames. This year’s scorching English summer sun took its toll on the roof gardens leaving the lush green carpet of grass parched and yellow.
ISS Facility Services Landscaping re- turfed the 5th and 6th floor 2,200 sq m of roof garden returning the grass to its former glory in record time under exceptionally challenging conditions. Working only weekends with no allocated parking spaces for their 7.5 ton lorries or external access to the roof tops, the ISS Landscaping team competed this re- turfing project in just two weeks from quote to completion. South East Operations Manager, Paul Conley told The Landscaper “This was quite a challenge and the ISS team all worked very to complete this job on time and without disruption. All the materials had to be carrying through the building across plush carpets to reach the trade lifts. There was no parking for over a mile so material drop offs had to be well co-ordinated.”
