JUDGES’ COMMENTS: A show stopping creative approach capturing a cool Provencal feel with a real contemporary twist. Hot olive grove plantings merge with the stunning rolling Dorset landscape beyond. A highly imaginative, cutting edge design approach cleverly capturing the ‘borrowed landscape’, which has been tied back to the property using sweeping wildflower meadows to blur the boundaries and anchor the design well into its surrounds.

JUDGES’ COMMENTS: A very good example of a design solution for a challenging exposed site with dramatic views, demonstrating the designer’s clear analysis of site conditions, limitations and client requirements for privacy, additional parking, and making the most of the views. The natural stone walls and paving provided a real challenge to the knowledge and creativity of the designer and skill of the contractor.
