Steve Ayliffe, new contracts manager at Banyards, will manage the new HydeMartlet contract.
Dorset horticultural firm Banyards has won a three-year contract to supply grounds maintenance for south coast housing association HydeMartlet. With the contract comes additional tree surgery and landscaping as required.
It covers 96 sites of supported and social housing within a 30-mile radius of Southampton, which were previously handled inhouse by the association. Two staff members who previously worked on this contract are now employed by Banyards.
Banyards has employed a new contracts manager, Steve Ayliffe, to handle this and other south coast contracts. He said: “We won the contract against stiff competition from five other companies.
“We offer a complete grounds maintenance package to housing associations. These contracts are primarily grass cutting, but we can add on a variety of services from tree surveys to Health & Safety issues such as repairing pavements.”
