Since taking delivery of an Avant 750 compact loader in August, Cutting Edge Grounds Maintenance of Winchester has built-up a complete package of attachments to enable it to tackle a variety of jobs from grass cutting and flailing to boring post holes and carting logs.
Founder of Cutting Edge Chris Fouch is delighted with the versatility offered by the Avant concept by which a single machine can undertake many different tasks, simply by switching one attachment for another.
“It’s a brilliant piece of kit, and the key feature for me is its ability to be used throughout the year so that when we have stopped mowing we can change the grass tyres to standard tractor profile ones and continue to use it for lots of other jobs or even hire it out. The 750 model chosen by Cutting Edge is powered by a Kubota 4-cylinder diesel engine developing 36 kW (49 hp), driving through a 2-speed hydrostatic transmission which provides a useful maximum speed of 25 km/h. The articulated machine is just 1050 mm wide and can handle loads of up to 1.4 tonne.
