Timber Fence Alternative

Wood plastic specialists, Composite Prime, has developed and launched HD Fence, a contemporary, durable solution for residential gardens and commercial boundaries.
Developed using a unique composite material that combines FSC® 100% certified hardwood timber and recycled plastic, the product offers a much-needed alternative to timber fencing, renowned for breaking and becoming loose in the wind.
The composite material is much more durable and low-maintenance than its timber counterpart, ensuring the fencing boards are anti-rot, sturdy and do not require painting or preservation treatments.
Each board slots seamlessly into a multi-directional post and the easy-to-install solution also has a versatile retrofit option for concrete posts. The concrete post adapter allows HD Fence boards to slot between existing posts, saving time and money digging out and removing old concrete posts.
Should a board need to be replaced it can be done so easily without replacing the entire panel, which cannot be achieved when working with timber fencing.
Charles Taylor, sales director at Composite Prime, said: “We’re pleased to bring HD Fence to the market. Unlike timber fencing, if a board is broken the entire panel does not need to be replaced, as each six-foot panel is made up of nine boards. For such a sturdy product, the boards are lightweight, easy to handle and simple to install. It’s our aim to be at the forefront of composite technology within the garden product sector and our fencing goes a long way in ticking these boxes.”
HD Fence is available in a selection of colour options offering a natural yet contemporary look for outdoor living, with no need to paint or treat the fence. The specialist’s full range includes decking, fencing and garden products, which can be purchased from a number of distributors across the UK.
