HAIX Forestry Trekker Mountain Boots: The most popular boots for trekkers

HAIX®, the innovative manufacturer of protective footwear, has launched cutting-edge enhancements to one of its classic forestry boots, The Trekker Mountain 2.0.

The changes to the boot have been designed to make the working lives of outdoor and forestry professionals easier, safer and more comfortable.

The updated boot still features the trusted design elements of the original version, combined with new advances that offer wearers increased levels of protection and comfort.

The evolution has been approached from ‘the sole up’, with a brand new, high-durability Rubber/PU walking sole that guarantees grip, even in challenging woodland environments. The Trekker Mountain 2.0 maintains Class 1 Chainsaw Protection certification (fully compliant with the EN ISO 17249:2013 + AC:2014 safety standard), meaning operators can work confidently with chainsaws and cutting tools.

Made from rugged, high-quality oiled nubuck leather, the Trekker Mountain 2.0 features a 4-layer GORE-TEX® membrane that keeps feet fully protected from the elements, while also allowing them to breathe – optimising foot comfort. The boot also features a new rolling eyelet lacing system, allowing smoother and quicker lacing, ensuring your boots stay firmly on your feet.

The Trekker Mountain 2.0 balances style and safety, with features including:

  • A sleeker, more athletic look, with an added pop of colour that makes the boot stand out
  • An anatomically formed, protective steel toe cap and puncture-resistant steel midsole, which  prevents injury from falling objects and protect from underfoot hazards
  • An integrated heel bend that works with your movements, avoiding chafing and blistering

“The upgrades and features HAIX® has added to the Trekker Mountain 2.0 are a great example of our ongoing commitment to perfecting our designs. HAIX® has worked hard to maintain the qualities of our forestry range that wearers around the world have come to expect, while also adding features inspired by the challenges Arborists and outdoor workers face, to make their jobs safer and more comfortable.” – Simon Ash, UK Sales Manager for HAIX®
