New Talent Recognised


Garden design blogger, Lee Burkhill, has been named as a finalist in the Alan Titchmarsh New Talent category at the Garden Media Guild Awards. Lee featured in The Landscaper’s North West region feature, in the May 2017 issue.
‏The Awards celebrate the best of horticultural communications, recognising the talent, skill and inspiration of garden media professionals.‏
Lee Burkhill, the Garden Ninja, was recognised for his garden design blog, Youtube channel garden guides, BBC live radio work, and published articles for the RHS during 2016/17.
‏Lee Burkhill said: “I’ve been absolutely over the moon to be recognised as one of the UK’s best new garden talents this year by the Garden media guild. Having published my garden design guides on my youtube channel, along with my blog and radio work for the BBC helping aspiring gardeners, it’s a great recognition. I’m a great believer that the health benefits of gardening should be available to all. My approach and enthusiasm for creating functional garden design guides enable even the most hesitant gardener to fully realise their garden space!”
Charlotte Petts, Presenter of Growing Wild on Radio Reverb, won the category. Other finalists were:
Annabelle Padwick, Tony Woods, and Arit Anderson.
