A Perfect Partnership: The UK’s Best Loved Gardener Chooses Protek To Brighten Up ‘Gardening With Alan Titchmarsh’

A new series, a new garden and one of the UK’s most familiar gardening voices – Alan Titchmarsh is back with Gardening with Alan Titchmarsh, and this time, he’s bringing Protek along with him.

A Perfect Partnership: The UK's Best Loved Gardener Chooses Protek To Brighten Up 'Gardening With Alan Titchmarsh'

British woodcare brand Protek has been named an official supplier to the 2026 series, with its products set to feature across multiple episodes as part of the channel’s practical, hands-on garden transformations.

Best known for decades of gardening advice on screen and in print, Titchmarsh’s latest venture continues to build his growing digital audience, with weekly videos focused on real projects that viewers can take on themselves.

The new series is set in a classic English country garden surrounding a thatched cottage, and follows its transformation over time, with Protek’s first feature from 10 April. From refreshing tired spaces to reworking layouts and planting schemes, each episode focuses on achievable improvements rather than full-scale redesigns.

A masterclass in woodcare

In this episode, Titchmarsh begins work on a neglected patio, turning it into a more inviting and functional garden space using container planting and carefully considered materials, including Protek’s Royal Exterior Wood Finish in Warm Clay.

Rather than chasing trends, the series leans into timeless, well-crafted outdoor spaces, with a focus on materials that not only look good but stand up to the realities of British weather. Alan’s expert eye will transform the garden, and he will use Protek products to brighten and protect the space. Alan will be selecting his favourites from Protek’s product range spanning 160 colours to transform wood, metal, ceramic, and even plastic.

Alan Titchmarsh shared his excitement for the new digital series, saying:

“I’ve been gardening for more than 60 years, and this is the perfect place to pass on that knowledge to an international audience of all ages… I’m thrilled to be working with some of the best in the business on my new channel is full of educational and inspirational content”.

Becky Rackstraw, Director of Protek also commented:

“Alan knows that the secret to a beautiful outdoor space is a healthy foundation. Good quality materials and preparation are essential. When it comes to timber, gardeners need to protect what they love with expert high-quality woodcare products that last. Partnering with Alan feels like the perfect fit for Protek as we’ve been protecting and beautifying wood, with consideration for the environment, for over 40 years.”

Protek will feature across a number of episodes throughout the series, alongside a small group of carefully selected suppliers supporting the channel.

For viewers, the appeal is simple: practical advice, real spaces and ideas that can be applied at home, whether it’s a full garden or just a corner that needs a bit of attention.
