Ecoscape has launched Timbex, a new composite decking range that combines the timeless beauty of natural timber with the durability and low-maintenance benefits of composite decking.
Developed in response to the growing influence of interior design on outdoor spaces, Timbex is designed for those looking to create considered, high-end exterior environments without compromising on long-term performance.
Manufactured using moulds taken from more than 20 genuine oak boards, every Timbex profile captures the authentic texture, grain and character of real wood.
The result is a richly detailed surface with natural variation and depth, bringing the individuality of timber to a high-performance composite decking system.
Authentic timber character, engineered for performance
Beneath its natural appearance is a highly engineered construction. Timbex features a water-resistant, FSC-certified solid-core profile, wrapped in a patented elastomer polyurethane surface layer. This combination delivers durability and longevity while retaining the tactile qualities and visual character of natural wood.
Bigger boards, efficient installation
At 200mm wide and 29mm thick, Timbex boards create a bold, premium look with fewer visible joins and a substantial feel underfoot. Designed to span joist centres of up to 600mm, the boards can reduce the number of joists required, helping to improve installation efficiency while creating a clean, spacious finish.
Virtually invisible fixings
A unique textured capping system subtly conceals surface fixings, creating a clean and uninterrupted appearance. Once installed, the fixing system is designed to remain virtually invisible, allowing the timber-inspired surface to take centre stage.
A palette inspired by nature
Timbex is available in a curated palette of five oak-inspired colours, designed to complement a wide range of architectural styles, exterior materials and landscaping schemes.
The collection includes three versatile brown tones inspired by the natural variation of hardwood, alongside Black Oak and Silvered Oak for more contemporary schemes. Each colour is enhanced by Timbex’s authentic wood-grain texture, with an embossed surface that adds depth, realism and tactile character.
