Pricing for the long awaited Volkswagen Amarok has now been revealed, with Volkswagen’s new pick-up available in three trim levels, starting at just £16,995 for the Startline model and £18,995 for the Trendline, while the range-topping Highline will cost from £21,575.
The new four-wheel drive double-cab is available with the choice of two refined diesel engines. All models can be fitted with the powerful, yet efficient, 2.0-litre BiTDI 163 PS engine, while an entry-level 2.0-litre TDI 122 PS is also offered on Startline models.
All Amaroks are equipped with a comprehensive list of standard equipment, offering high levels of comfort and safety. Standard equipment on the Startline model includes 16-inch alloy wheels, 4MOTION Selectable four-wheel drive, electric front and rear windows, semi-automatic air conditioning and single CD / radio.
Advanced technology and safety systems fitted include six airbags, ESP (Electronic Stability Programme) incorporating Brake Assist System (BAS), Traction Control System (TCS), Electronic Differential Lock (EDL), Hill Hold Assist, Hill Descent Control, Trailer Stability Control and off-road ABS, designed to shorten stopping distances significantly on loose surfaces.
The 4MOTION Selectable four-wheel drive system, available on all models, offers a choice between rear-wheel drive, four-wheel drive and low range four-wheel drive via a button mounted on the dashboard. All models fitted with this adjustable system have a gross vehicle weight of 3,170 kg and more robust suspension which results in a payload of over 1,045 kg.
